Half of the mobile operators in Western Europe recorded annual falls in voice revenues in Q1 2007 as revenue growth in the region as a whole stalls, Strategy Analytics found out. Revenues per minute from wireless voice fell 12% in Q1 2007 as regulatory pressure and competition continue to bite. The report found that voice revenues fell by a massive 9% at Vodafone Germany, with operators in many other West European markets experiencing more modest declines. Operators in Spain performed best in the region, with voice revenue growth ranging from 6% at Orange to 11% at Vodafone.
