Video surveillance to generate $11.9 bln by 2011

Global revenue for video surveillance equipment (i.e. cameras, embedded Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and IP video servers) will grow to $11.9 bln by 2011, up from $6.6 bln in 2006. Semiconductors associated with this segment (including Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), interface logic, image sensors and memory) will account for about $2 bln in revenue by 2011, iSuppli says.
