US television market to generate $85.4 bln in 2011

The US will remain the largest television market, expanding from $62.2 bln in 2006 to $85.4 bln in 2011; at a 6.5% CAGR. Latin America will be the fastest growing market, rising to $12.1 bln in 2011 from $7.9 bln in 2006, an 8.8% CAGR. In Canada, high-definition television will help sustain broadcast viewing and advertising, but losses related to distant signal retransmission will continue to cut into growth, PriceWaterhouseCooper said.
