UK online ad market generate 1.1 bln pounds in 2005

Advertising Association found that UK online advertising market was worth 1.1 bln pounds in 2005, a 73% increase on 2004. Online classified advertising was worth 748 mln pounds, and online display advertising was worth 383 mln pounds. Overall ad spending in the UK rose just 2.1% in 2005, with advertising in print, radio and direct mail declined by 3%, 4.5% and 3.9% respectively.
