Global television unit shipments rose by 7% in Q1 2007 over Q1 2006, registering 45.9 mln units. While this was a decline from the typically strong Q4 shipments, LCD and Plasma Display Panel (PDP) televisions enjoyed positive growth with a 90% increase and a 41% increase respectively compared to a year earlier.
