Prices for the chipsets, which include a CMOS image sensor, MCU (micro-controller unit) and USB controller, have decreased by about 10% since Taiwan-based PixArt Imaging began to offer optical mouse-use CMOS image sensors at relatively low prices at the end of 2002.
