Accenture has found that 80% of physicians say they are most influenced by information they read in clinical journals. 58% of physicians who go online at least once per week for work-related activities said that they also participated in online detailing sessions. One-fifth of respondents said they did so ?often,” while another 38% said that they participated in e-detailing sessions ?occasionally.” Not surprisingly, 85% of respondents said that adequate compensation would motivate them to increase their time listening to online marketing presentations.

Jupiter went on to find that 65% of physicians agree that e-detailing is both convenient and provides accurate information.
