JupiterResearch has found that growth in online spending by small businesses remains strong. Total online expenditures by small businesses is expected to top $70 bln by the year 2012, up from $47 bln in 2006. The number of small business that buy online will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 4.3% through 2012, driven mostly by the growth in the number of small businesses overall as their online buyer penetration, currently at 71%, is relatively mature.
