In 2000-2002 Nordic PC market was subject to decline as the dot-com bubble burst, IDC says. In 2003 the PC market in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland returned to positive growth. The market has been driven by pent-up demand and a rapidly increasing interest in portable PCs as mobility becomes ever more important to companies; in just two years the share of portable PCs has grown from 30% to 40%. However, in the last few quarters, Nordic businesses have lowered their interest in buying PCs and the growth rate has dropped significantly. IDC expects that the trend will continue throughout the year and a new decline is expected in 2006.
