Global network TV advertising revenues will reach $123 bln in 2008, up 5.8% on 2007, according to Informa Telecoms & Media. States that this is an improvement, partly based on the positive impact of the Olympics, from the 3.5% global rise in 2007. From this 2008 total, net pay TV advertising will bring in $18 bln, a figure which has doubled over the last five years. Pay TV will represent 15% of total TV advertising in 2008.
