PC shipments in Latin America grew 29.5% in Q1 2006 compared with Q1 2005, with notebook shipments growing 76%, well beyond expectations. Better credit conditions, lower prices, affordable PC programs, government involvement and wireless broadband expansion drove this robust growth.
