Indian small and medium businesses to spend $640 mln on packaged software in 2007

Small and medium businesses in India are on track to invest about $640 mln on buying packaged software in 2007, up more than 25% over what they invested in all of 2006. Spending on databases, accounting, networking, productivity and system software will account for more than 90% of the total software spending by SMBs in 2007, according to AMI Partners.
