Digital signal processors (DSPs) will top the Indian semiconductor market by revenue in 2006, contributing $863 mln to the country’s total market size of $3.62 bln, according to India Semiconductor Association. Microprocessors with a market of $583 mln will be the second biggest category, followed by microcontrollers contributing $469 mln and memory products with $444 mln. Sensors will be the smallest product category account for just $51 mln in sales.
