Continuing its run of success, Motorola Inc. was the star of the mobile-phone business once again in Q2 2006, with its shipments increasing by an industry-leading 5.8 mln units during the period, according to iSuppli Corp. Motorola’s mobile-phone shipments amounted to 51.9 mln units in Q2 2006, up 12.6% from 46.1 mln in Q1 2006. Company market share rose to 23% during Q2 2006, up from 21% in Q1 2006.
