IDC claims 2003 was a calmer year for the previously soaring security software market in Western Europe. The market reached $2.5 billion in revenue in 2003, representing growth of 17% over 2002, but compared with the 2001?2002 growth rate of more than 25%, it is plain to see that security growth is slowing in Europe.
