Falling prices pushed Q2 PC shipments for Europe, the Middle East and Africa up 15.5%, a fourth straight quarter of solid growth, Gartner said. Gartner also said that the region could bank on continued strong growth through mid-2005. But Gartner added that cheaper PCs would drive those gains, as the era of laptops costing less than $1,235 and desktop PCs for less than $618 becomes a reality.
