An investment spurt in design for manufacturing (DFM) aware CAD tools will boost EDA growth in 2006 to 13.3%, according to Gartner. The forecast calls for 2006 worldwide EDA product and maintenance revenues to total $4.509 bln, compared to $3.979 bln in 2005. It predicts $4.891 bln in 2007 and $5.1 bln in 2008. Then, growth surges again, resulting in a predicted $5.615 bln market in 2009 and $6.047 bln in 2010.
