IDC Canada expects 2005 to be a year of growth for ICT (information, communications and technology), with IT spending reaching $37.2 bln, an increase of almost 4% over 2004. The telecommunications spending will reach $36.1 bln, an increase of 5% over 2005. Combined with business process outsourcing (BPO) spending, total IT-related spending could reach $78 bln for 2005.
