Asia-Pacific PC market grew 10% in Q3 2004

PC sales in the Asia-Pacific region outside Japan increased almost 10% to 8.5 mln units in Q3 2004, according to. Laptops grew 26.1% YTY. Desktops were up 6.5%. Indian market grew 35% YTY. Lenovo sold the most computers in the region for Q3 2004 with 1.017 mln units shipped, giving it an 11.9% market share in the Asia-Pacific. HP was second with 10.1% market share, having sold 861000 computers. IBM sold 672000 computers, which is the equivalent of 7.9% share.
