Wi-Fi access point expansion will rise to the million deployment a year mark by 2008. The company predicted 2005 to be the peak of the access point deployment surge, with a growth rate of 132% for the year. ABI anticipated the growth rate to drop below 80% in 2006, before declining sharply as a result of wide market penetration. By 2008 the growth rate for new access points should settle to a modest 12% per year, ABI said.
