The company reports that of the 10.2% of consumers who say they plan to buy a new car within the next six months, 19.4% currently own a Ford. Another 14% own a Chevrolet, over 7% own a Dodge and 5.8% own a Honda. Under 3% own Mitsubishis, Buicks and Pontiacs. 94% of US consumers shopping for a car go online to research cars, get quotes from dealers and to order brochures. This compares to 67% who actually visit a dealership when making a decision on a car to buy.
