7.1 mln TVs to sell in North America in Q1 2007

For retailers and television makers, the Super Bowl season is a key period for sales, coming in the seasonally weak Q1 2006. Television sales and shipments typically decline in the first quarter following the holiday season in the fourth Q. This year will be no exception with North American television shipments in Q1 2007 declining to 7.1 mln units, down 26.3% from 9.7 mln units in the Q4 2006, iSuppli says.
