70% of US teens and young adults have broadband

A survey of 15 year olds to 22 year olds found 70% using high-speed Internet connections in Q4 2004, an 11% increase over Q3 2004, according to Bolt Inc. Of those young people with broadband connections, 50% used a cable modem, 44% digital subscriber lines and 6% T1/T3 lines. Half of the young people in the age group surveyed spend more than 15 hours a week online, primarily due to the speedy connections that have improved the experience on the Internet, according to Bolt.
