68% of IT execs have contacted a vendor after reading a white paper

Bitpipe and Forbes.com report that over 77% of corporate and IT executives have passed a white paper or case study on to a colleague. Furthermore, over 68% have been motivated to contact the vendor, reseller or distributor connected to the white papers for more information. The survey also found the main reason why managers download white papers and case studies is to stay on top of industry trends, as 76.8% of executives say such documents help them stay on top of new and emerging trends.
