MindShare Online Research found that cell phone use by teens jumped 43% in 2004 compared to 2003. 70% of kids ages 16-17 owned mobile phones, compared to 50% of the 14-15-year-olds and 25% of 10-13-year-olds. Teenagers who carry cell phones tend to use them heavily; 83% use their phones every day, and 64% use them several times a day or more.
