42% of social networking profile owners say the internet connected them to their candidate

42% of those who have created social networking profiles say the internet has helped them feel more personally connected to their candidate or the campaign, compared with 23% of non-profile-creators. And 30% of profile creators agree with the statement, “I would not be as involved in this campaign as much if it weren’t for the internet.” That compares to 19% of non-profile-creators, according to Pew Internet Project.
