40 mln US consumers aged 18+ would like mobile email access. 82% of survey respondents want to be able to choose which emails reach them on their cell phone. 96% of consumers are not willing to buy an expensive phone just to get mobile email. 71% of respondents to Ipsos survey ranked “low cost” as a very important feature of the mobile email service itself. This was followed by “ease-of-use” at 63%, and “no need to upgrade devices” at 53%.
