AMIPCI says there were 3.6 mln internet accounts in Mexico by the end of 2005. 1.8 mln of them were dial-up, 1.7 mln were broadband and 12,000 were dedicated lines. The total number of internet users in the country reached 17.1 mln. There were 10.8 mln PCs in use, up 9.9% compared to 2004; 58% of these machines are residential and 58% have internet access.
