27% of e-mails sent to 38 of the largest high-tech companies were ignored, and only 50% were responded to within a day, according to The Customer Respect Group. 40% of the responses were considered “less than very helpful.” As far as customer respect, HP scored the highest, followed in order by Xerox, Microsoft, Dell and Gateway. At the bottom were Siebel Systems and Toshiba America.
