1.804 mln of new jobs in 2000-2005 taken by men, 1.996 mln – by women

Women posted a net increase of 1.7 mln jobs paying above the median salary, while men gained a net increase of just over 220,000 of such positions, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics. Overall, men gained 1,804,000 jobs and women 1,996,000, or 52.5% of the total increase.
