Informa says 1.8 bln people on this planet have cell phones, which leaves the global mobile penetration at 28%. Italy, UK, Sweden and Hong Kong have already exceeded 100% market penetration. The Chinese wireless mobile market, which topped 400 million subscribers in March, is expected to grow by 65% through 2010.
