According to the Cellular Telephony and Internet Association (CTIA), there are more than 135 mln cellular phone users today, almost double the number of users in 1997. Between 13,000 and 15,000 wireless base stations will be built in the US in 2004, according to the public statements of wireless tower companies who will do that work.
