The number of broadband subscribers in the 30 member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development reached 118 mln by the end of 2004, an increase of 34.1 mln during the year, according to OECD. Broadband penetration in the OECD countries reached 10.2 subscribers per 100 inhabitants, up from 7.3 subscribers per 100 inhabitants at the end of 2003.
