1.1 bln mobile phones to sell in 2007

Nokia’s share of the global handset market rose to 35.1% in Q3 2006 from 32.5% in Q3 2005, Gartner said. Motorola’s share rose to 20.6% from 18.7%. Samsung Electronics’ share fell to 12.2% from 12.5%. Global sales of mobile phones are set for another year of strong growth in 2007, with estimated consumer demand for 1.1 bln phones.
