Russell Shaw from ZDNet IP Telephony blog points to IDC research on VOIP semiconductors. As the VoIP-specific semiconductor market grew over 40% in 2004, other vendors have been chipping away at Texas Instrument’s (TI’s) dominant share position. Mindspeed nabbed the #3 position, with rapid growth in media gateway silicon.
