Newspaper revenues from automotive ads fall for 7th quarter in a row

Automotive ads accounted for 30% of the newspapers’ total classified ad revenue of $16.6 bln in 2004. Revenue from auto classifieds has now fallen for 7 quarters in a row, to $1.01 bln in the Q3 2005 from $1.16 bln in Q2 2004, according to the Newspaper Association of America.
