Israeli PC shipments up 16.4% in 2004
Shipments of personal computers rose a healthy 16.4% to more than 612,000 units in Israel in 2004. Revenue jumped by 20.1%. According to IDC, the recovering economy and increased broadband penetration helped spur overdue replacement buying for desktops while the desire for mobility drove notebook purchases in 2004. Although the Israel PC market will continue to expand, it will not be as dramatic in 2004. IDC expects shipments to rise 12.8% this year and 7.8% in 2006.
