Commercial e-mail opening rates down to 27.5% in Q2 2005

Open e-mail rates in Q2 2005 dropped to 27.5% from 36% in Q2 2004, while click-through rates dropped to 7.2% from 7.7% in Q2 2004, according to DoubleClick. Conversion rates rose to 4.6% in Q2 2005, a 27.8% increase from Q2 2004. Orders per e-mail delivered rose to 0.26%, an 18.2% uptick from Q2 2004.
