Cameraphones to outsell digital cameras by early 2006

Mobile phones with 1.3-megapixel cameras will soon be very common and will outsell VGA camera phones by early 2006, according to ABI Research. Subsequent years will see 2-, 3- and 4-MP cameras replace lower specification models. Sales of digital cameras in the US grew 20% in the first half of 2005, IDC says.
