70% of Irish IT market is derived from government spending
The Northern Irish IT market is expected to grow, despite the complex political and investment challenges the region faces. The total market for externally purchased IT products and services is 982 mln euros. Government spending accounts for 70% of the market and private sector spending accounts for 30%. IDC expects good growth in spending from 2005 to 2010, with the market reaching 1,310 mln euros in 2010.
