70% of baby boomers do not plan to retire after reaching 65

70% of Baby Boomers plan to stay in the workplace beyond the traditional retirement age of 65, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas. In August 2006, the number of workers over 55 reached its highest level ever recorded, 24.6 mln. Approximately 25% of this group (5.2 mln) was 65 and older, 45% more than 10 years prior.
