63% of companies need at least one day to implement a new patch
RedSeal Systems released new survey showing IT security professionals still struggle to keep systems patched in a timely fashion. 63% of respondents acknowledge they need at least one day, and in some cases up to one month, to implement a new patch. 34% do not use any type of proactive vulnerability scanning, giving them no insight into the vulnerabilities on their networks. Once the need for a patch is determined, 34% of respondents indicated it takes between one day and one week to implement them while 29% of respondents need between a week and a month. 23% say they are able to implement patches within 24 hours while 13% of respondents indicated that they do not know how long their patch implementation takes.
